Jerry Orbach of Law and Order Dead at 69

NEW YORK � Actor Jerry Orbach (search), who played a world-weary cop on TV's "Law & Order" and put Baby in the corner in "Dirty Dancing," has died of prostate cancer at 69, a representative of the show said Wednesday.

Orbach died Tuesday night in Manhattan after several weeks of treatment, Audrey Davis of the public relations agency Lippin Group said.

Its sad to see him go. I loved him on Law and Order, he was great at it. He was apperantly diagnosed with prostate cancer ten years ago, I thought that he was recently diagnosed.

RIP Jerry Orbach.

I used to go to Broadway shows and watch his introduction years ago of some of the best shows...

Its a great loss.

I've been watching "Law and Order" since the beginning and his character was one of my favorites. It was a very sad day when I heard he died. I stayed home that weekend and watched the "Law and Order" memorial to him on TNT. Cancer is the enemy, it takes far too many good people.
