In seventh grade I actually got into a massive amount of trouble ( at school and home ) because I got into a fight with a kid who was making fun of my Chuck's - because they were not Nike's. This was in the late 70's and anyone not in Nike's and an Izod shirt was seen as beneath contempt.

I was proud of my Chucks... and now.... this.

I'd buy those, they look alot better than the old ones. I wonder if they come in different colors.

abe, $75 is not cheap for shoes in my book. i flip out if i have to pay more than about 30 bucks.

Ew those are ugly!

Good thing mine aren't some weird flamboyant colors like that.

Mine are even designed differently. Mine actually look very nice. Better than any Converse i've ever seen. But that's just my opinion, and the tons of people that compliment me on my shoes when I'm out and about.

Good god with all that mesh I've got to wonder if those are aqua shoes.
$130 for shoes like that made in China for under $10 including labor?
I work hard for my money, so I'll have to say no thanks I'll pass on those.

Those new low tops are clean. I just might have to get me a pair. $75 is a high start but they will go down in the stores as usual. But for now I'm willing to dish out 75 with some fat laces. Glad I saw this thread thank you
