I Fell Down . . Yesterday

I fell down yesterday, off of my bike, I was a tyke . . then.
Parental arms picked me up . .off I went . .again.

I fell down yesterday, it was war,
got picked up . .by the Corps . . .thank you.

I fell down yesterday, it was love, . .or so they say,
but I met a new friend . .and she made my day . . . . .better.

I fell down yesterday, lacking in faith, not knowing why,
I'm still down here, staring up at the sky . .for answers.

Wait . .I sense a lifting . . ??
