Any of you New Yorkers heard about Mayor Michael Bloomberg ordering a so-called "quality of life"
crackdowns involving summonses for minor but revenue-producing infractions.

Yup... it's a running joke here.

Yesterday, a pregnant woman got a ticket for sitting on subway steps.

Hard times, mean hard decisions... or something like that.

I just wish they'd enforce the $350 fine for honking your car horn (it's true).

I've heard this. it's kind of baffling. I mean, I know the law is meant to keep homeless people off the streets or something, but aren't taxpayers the people that actually pay for the streets? the way I see it is, "hey, I pay for these streets! darn skippy I'm going to sit down if I feel the need!". but that's me.

how about 2 days ago's ticket...
a guy double parked to save someone who was choking. he did the heimlich manuever, saved the person's life, and returned to find a ticket on his car. then of all things the traffic agent was like "oh you should fight the ticket". this is pathetic.

those of you in ny, buy the daily news every day. they have a page every day titled "silly summons of the day"

you wouldnt believe half of this crap.
