Apolcalypse Now: the prophecies

I am starting this thread to collect all of the major prophecies that forecast the end of the world, so we can compare them and analyse them:

I will start this off with the most compelling I have read so far:

The Mayan Prophecy

Not really a prophecy, at least that I am aware of. Rather the fact that the Mayan calender ends in the year 2012.

The Hindu timecycles



According to Hindu theology time is cyclical, a perpetual cycle of creation and dissolution. The universe is the macrocosm and everything else is microcosm of the universe:

The universe is 311.04 trillion years old
The Earth is 4.32 billion years old
The human civilization is 4.32 million years old

The human civilization is not the first, but, there have been 14 different civilizations on Earth. Each civilization lasts for 306.72 million years. There is a partial creation of this civilization in 1.728 million years, and then it goes through a sub-cycle, comprised of 4 ages of 4.2 million years.

The durations of the ages:

Golden: 1.728 million years

The qualities of this age are: virtue reigns supreme; human stature is 21 cubits; lifespan is 100,000 years, and death occurs only when willed.


Silver: 1.296 million years

The qualities of this age are: the climate is three quarters virtue and one quarter sin; human stature is 14 cubits; lifespan is 10,000 years.

Bronze: 864,000 years

This third age is 864,000 human years. Also known as the Bronze Age. The qualities of this age are: the climate is one half virtue and one half sin; lifespan is 1,000 years.

Iron: 432,000 years

The fourth and last age is 432,000 human years. Also known as the Iron Age. This is the age in which we are presently living. The qualities of this age are: the climate is one quarter virtue and three quarters sin; human stature is 3.5 cubits; lifespan is 100 or 120 years.

We are said to be in the age of Kali, an age of spiritual darkness, immortality, selfishness, material obsession, violence and enslavement:

A passage from a Hindu scripture on the age of Kali:

Increasingly degraded generations, conceived accidentally in lust and growing up wild, swarm all over the world. Political leadership falls into the hands of unprincipled rogues, criminals and terrorists, who use their power to exploit the people. Entire populations are enslaved and put to death. The world teems with fanatics, extremists and spiritual artists, who win huge followings among a people completely dazed by hedonism, as well as by cultural and moral relativism. "Religion, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, mercy, physical strength and memory diminish with each passing day." (Srimad-Bhagavatam 12.2.1)

Now, it is disputed by Hindu theologians on when the age of Kali started. Some say that it just started 5000 years ago, meaning there is still 427,000 years to go(I hope not!) While some, including the faith of the Brahma Kumaris, say the age of Kali will be nearing it's end in 2000 AD and end in a global catacylsm.

I am not sure, perhaps someone with more knowledge of the Hindu time cycles can tell us when Kali is suppose to end.

John Titor

We all know who Titor is. John Titor is technically not a prophet, rather a time traveller. The events he forecasted:

Civil war: 2005-2008
NWO: 2009
WWIII: 2015

Al Bielek

Also a time traveller. Al Bielek claims to have gone to the year 2137, where he saw a map of the earth's geology, which seemed to be unrecognizable. He was told was that the Earth experienced extreme changes in the year 2000 AD to 2025 which completely changed the geology of Earth. The world population in 2025 was only 500 million. He also talked about an earthquake hitting San fransico measuring 12 on the Richter scale, that completely destroyed the city.

From time travel, they have a pretty good idea. Phil was a geologist. He was not able to time travel. He knew about it, but he didn't get to do it. He says that, as a geologist, we know the Earth changes are coming, where they're going to happen, and how heavily they're going to hit. For example, San Francisco will be hit with an earthquake of Richter 11 to 12. I said, that will wipe out the city, and he said, yes. He said the Navy is already moving all their facilities out of the San Francisco Bay area. They have not closed San Diego. He said San Diego will be wiped out. He said they're moving much of it to Bremerton, Washington, but they don't know whether that will be safe, and they don't know what to do with the Pacific Fleet - whether to let it sit at anchor and hope it rides it out or move it to sea and hope it rides it out there. He said that they know it's coming, but he said they know
it's coming, but the problem is - we cannot predict when. Now, for the last 72 hours, yes. There are certain indicators that, within 72 hours, will say, this is it, but earlier than that, it's not predictable.

LE: Well, with your contacts, have you been able to find out when the government feels this will happen?

BIELEK: Not in terms of what the government thinks. I've seldom talked about this publically, but it's probably time. In terms of time travel and my access of future events, because in my and Duncan's jumping overboard from the Eldridge, we did not go straight to Montauk. We went to the year 2137 A.D. We arrived in bad shape. We wound up in hospitals for about a month. When we finally found out where we were, we both (particularly me) started asking lots of questions about where we were, what had happened, and so forth. They told us about various events and showed us some maps of the altered United States. We asked, what the hell's going on here? We looked at the maps from all over. What events had changed in government, in society? They were rebuilding from the damage of the period from 2000 to 2015 to 2016 era. Finally, everything had settled by the time of 2025. As they told us, when the Earth changes hit really severely, which was around the year 2000, at that point, the governments all over the world collapsed, and the military took over. The Earth changes were very severe, and there was a tremendous loss of life. By the year 2025, the planetary population was down to somewhere around 450 to 500 million. So, "The New World Order" accomplished their goal in the process of losing it.

verry interesting.. i also read that Al Bielek said that in 2005 a deadly desease appears on earth and kills literally hundreds of millions. And now based on that, according to the bible code, the world will end 2005... strange co-incidence..

ps. 2005 may not be the actuall apocalipse date, but more of a 'beggining of the end' .

Can you link me to a source on Al Bieleks claim Ivan. Could that disease possibly be the flu pandemic that so many scientists are warning us about.

has general similarities with Nebuchadnezzars' dream,
in that the symbolic statue of world kingdoms degrades to iron
and the final armageddon (kali yuga) involves a mix of iron-clay(10 toes)

BTW, it matters little, what date/times the kali yuga concludes,

as it may be tomorrow the famous armegeddon, gog-magog war or asteroid impact occurrs....unfortunately, until the End we who remain most likely live in a MadMax type of world.

IVANGLAM: You said that Al Bielek said the world will end in 2005. Do you think that the current events with this largest natural diaster in Aisa is a prelude to this hypothetical statement about the end in 2005? Curious I am.

Well i doubt it will be natural, although that is a high possibility... I link the desease to the death of the 11 microbiologists.... (or assassinations) .. and that will be the beginning...... i cant remember ,but i read somewhere in the "phophesies" section that something bad is to happen on January 7th, of this up comming year. lets all hope to that being a hoax.

I would like to define what the Bible says about the end of the world. The world as far as the sin and chaos and destruction and death by whatever the source will end. God is going to create a new heavens and earth without these things. Each individual man or woman will never cease to exist. Each will spend eternity somewhere either with or apart from God. There are a couple of places in the Bible that suggest( noone can know the day or hour but God says we can know when it is approaching) that Christ will return after 2000 years. Why you can't pinpoint is because we don't know the starting point. Is it from His birth, death, or from the time at age 12 when Jesus said He must be about His Father's business. Plus there are discrepancies with our calendar. A verse in Hosea and the parable of the Good Samaritan and a couple of other places indicate 2000 years. We are in that time frame now. But the main thing is all this death and destruction will someday be gone and an eternity will begin where only righteousness dwells. The future does not have to be and is not one of an end. It actually can be looked at as THE BEGINNING!

This could be a very bad upcoming year.

Seismic activity alone and it's effect on volcanoes is definitelly on the upswing. You look at our governments and the general condition of the world and it is getting scary out there.
I for a long time didn't believe some of these prophecies, now I am taking a wait and see approach. I am just waiting to see with a nice stash of semi auto weapons food water and a 4 wheel drive with about 200 gallons of gas stashed. It doesn't help my general outlook on how bad things are getting when I live in Phoenix where if you look at a cop wrong he'll taze you and take you to jail. I am of the belief now that insisting that our governments back off with one voice may not be enough. As far as 2005 being the kickoff year for everything I can see it happening.

Take into consideration that the Earth is constantly expelling volcanic debris, earthquakes etc, this is nothing new its been going on forever. The general condition of the world has also been worse, look at the Third Reich was that not a very nasty time?

Earth Changes
Edgar Cayce predicted that the Great Lakes would empty into the Gulf of Mexico in the future and that ancient repositories would be discovered when people reached the appropriate level of consciousness. The three repositories mentioned are Egypt, the Bimini area, and the Yucatan.

"The earth will be broken up in the western portion of America. The greater portion of Japan must go into the sea. The upper portion of Europe will be changed as in the twinkling of an eye. Land will appear off the east coast of America. When there is the first breaking up of some conditions in the South Sea and those as apparent in the sinking or rising of that that's almost opposite same, or in the Mediterranean, and the Etna area, then we many know it has begun."

On the Sphinx

In several of his readings, Cayce stated that the survivors of the lost continent of Atlantis had brought with them records relating to their earliest history. These, he said, were carefully buried in a secret chamber somewhere near to the Great Sphinx, which stands guard like a sentinel over the Pyramids of Giza. A second set of these records was taken, he said, by other survivors of the disaster to be buried somewhere in the Yucatan area of Mexico. He also said that a third set of records still resides in the heart of Atlantis itself.

being born a hindu, I have heard the age of kali yuga is upon us everytime something bad happens. My granny says this at least once a day now, even when she watches regular tv shows such as fear factor

from what I have gathered, Hare Krishnas believe that we have roughly 100 years or so to go before Kali Yuga ends.

I have yet to find any writings that offer a specific time frame, but I have some links saved discussing kali yuga that I'll go look for now.

There is much we can learn from the Hindu culture and their "supposedly legends." i believe they are more than legends or myths, they are history and science among other things. It is my belief that in the last upheaval the one culture that was able to retain most of it's sacred scriptures, preserving part of our past is the Hindu culture. In it's sacred writings, which at first were only given by word of mouth, we find scientific knowledge and how the ancients used atomic weapons, among other gadgets, which was the cause for the last upheaval. The story of Atlantis also tells us that it was this same knowledge which caused those calamities upon mankind. After that we had to start over, forgetting in our daily struggles for survival our true past and forgetting all the knowledge which was used to make such wonders as the Pyramids in Egypt.

i have discussed this before and shown evidence from the Vedic scriptures on how a hindu prince, supposedly one of the few left alive after an atomic weapon was used on them, also threw an atomic weapon to avenge his people. i can't remember the specifics, but doing a search on these forums will bring up that thread. i am sure some other members have also brought this topic even before me.
