We will continue to see videos like this until PDs around the country weed out the bad apples, and rebuild community trust.

Yes, there are dicks in this world. Some dicks seek positions of authority (big surprise). The vast majority are not dicks, but as long as youtube is around, we're going to see just about every one who is. At least, everyone who does something for which no context is presented but looks really dickish.

Well that still doesn't tell me anything. I guess the deciding factor for me would be whether the guy asked for some peanuts or if the cop asked him if he wanted some peanuts.

This would be a pretty good way to gauge someone's objectivity.

Funny how right after that clip they show footage of Sandra Bland being booked, which proves she wasn't lying dead on the floor for her mugshot like you and others were claiming. Perspective is a curious thing isn't it?

There are thousands, each getting splattered with fall out from bad cops behavior. Nothing changes until hiring practices are changed, and immoral and illegal behavior aren't tolerated or unreported any more. Training is a major issue, as more videos display LE immediately go to guns in non life threatening situations.

All I'm saying is community trust in LE is tough to maintain if the actions of a few are seen as the norm.

Tens of thousands, actually. Each of them? Really? My county cops aren't perfect, but I haven't seen a youtube video of them being dicks.

LE in smaller communities in my county don't seem dogged by the issues that the largest nearby city, Seattle, has been the last few years. Our County Sheriff, who I support and have been friends with for some time, addressed the issue and reassigned or terminated troubled deputies who violated community trust. John is now county Executor, but his successor has maintained his standards and reported incidents are low, especially compared to Seattle.

If the Sheriff can achieve this, as it was a priority, why can't a municipality like Seattle?

I don't think the issue would be tossing peanuts to the man if he asked for and was okay with it. Maybe he asked, maybe he didn't.

That said, when he started to eat them off the floor and the officer pointed and laughed made me sick.

It makes me think that the officer was belittling the man instead of trying to give him some food while being handcuffed.

Unprofessional behavior for sure.

that guy was hardly an unwitting subject, appearances would imply this man was happy to play a game of catch the peanut, ive seen friends do this exact act to each other, to him it may have been no more then entertainment for BOTH of them, for all we know the cop resisted the idea and the peanut catcher was the one insisting on it. more information should be got before casting the judgment hammer,

besides there are far more damning police brutality incidents with videos out there we ought to be focusing these energies on, situations were people have died homes wrecked families destroyed, lets put our energies into those more then this stupid game of catch the peanut between cop and prisoner.

These guys now are the servants and guards of the Elite class who want us all dead in the end.

I think I made my opinion clear

'Wonders just how many Cops there are named 'DICK'. And if there was a cop named Dick would they know the connotation in which they were being addressed by those around them. One can only guess. Dick is about as bad as the fifties name Dink.

But yes this Video is highly disturbing and wrong.
