Gold Reliefs Found in Norway

Currency would seem about right to me as far as gold content. As far as the 'minting', who knows? A very thin foil of gold could be struck very easily as posted.
The examples pictured seem to be in good shape so, maybe from a tomb or vault? If they were currency, I'm curious about the wallet..

Since I only live about 5 min from the museum (Historiska) and its free now, I can go and have a look at them if anyone would like to now anything more. I can try to take some new pictures of them, i think you are allowed to take pictures now.
