Governments only add formality, diplomacy and legitimacy to corporations and companies.
Who do you think really writes all the legislation that gets voted on?
The private sector has the governments of the world in a stranglehold, at their beck and call. The government appears have the highest authority in
part to keep the people fooled. If a company wants a piece of legislation passed, or a certain provision -- it just takes greasing the right wheels.
Governments also enable a more stable economic playground for the corporations of the world. War may be good for business, but stability is also good
for profit. It's kind of hard to build a pipeline when guerrillas keep blowing it up.
No, the governments of the world aren't the real power brokers -- certainly not anymore, as everyone has a price.
In an ideal situation corporations and governments would work together openly for the benefit of themselves and the people.
