Sex is the oldest trick in the book. The next oldest trick is all the other vices out there... money, drugs, influence, etc... power tends to corrupt people. Benedict Arnold flipped for the power a promotion would bring and the list of people taken down over sex is endless, as is the list of people in power involved with drugs.

Where sex is best used isn't to get information but to manipulate the person to do what you want. Most of the people targeted take their oaths of silence pretty seriously, but a little bit of blackmail over the relationship combined with a bit of money might get you a copy of some paperwork that crosses their desk, or perhaps a signature on a bill you want passed.

Isn't this the same tactic that the Russian KGB females used on the Americans that used to work in the US Embassy in Moscow.

Whats new. As the saying goes; 'if it works, use/do it again'.

And if that doesn't work, Microwave the poor bast@ards in the US Embassy during the 70's.

Oh, we moved way beyond that very quickly ...

In 1976, the US discovered that volcanic ashes from an Icelandic volcano landed in Moscow (that is the route of the high currents). The information was later used, to spread chemical in the air above Iceland (for scientific purposes, of course). Eventually causing years of crop failures in the eastern block (of course, you can't prove any of that ... so it's just another "conspiracy" theory), lack of wheat products and eventually the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Using women to "snare" someone, wasn't invented by the British ... it's probably as old as the human race.
