Not here non-stop, just in the afternoons. Stuck in part-time hell.

I'm here for the convo. Some good folks to talk to on interesting subjects. I like to do a little writing, and there are plenty of topics to spark ideas and point me at places to go have a look see to further my own brainstorming. Plus, I learn things.

This is also one of the few places where you can actually talk about controversial things without the general tone devolving into "But you're a poopy-head!" "Nuh-uh! You are!" and so on and so forth.

I want too much not the best way to start
I like to see

opposing

pls ignore

Someone threatened his dog! Not cool!! I would do some damage if someone threatened my dog!

That is cool his dog brings him eggs. I can't even get my dog to bring me a toy on command. He just looks at me with it in his mouth.

Oh my son, I post about him on here no biggie. I 've been on here for 6 and a half years, it's family! I love ATS

HAHA i love that part! Scuttle is awesome!

I love "Crazy Stupid Love." Ryan Gosling MMM MMM MMM! LOL

When he takes his shirt off it should stay off...forever.

I have a slight crush on him. I will watch anything he or Rachel McAdams are in!

I really like "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" and my BF hasn't seen it but I own it and he said he would like to see it. When he comes over next we will watch that if we don't get stuck on "The X-Files" or something Star Wars related lol.

I might be one of the very few who doesn't like this movie.

I don't know WHY but I can't for the life of me sit through this movie and enjoy it! It may have something to do with an ex who CONSTANTLY quoted it but I"m not sure!

I know lol don't judge! haha.

I just had a talk with my nephew's girlfriend. She was upset because he didn't want to watch some sappy romantic movie with her.
Her defense was "But I go see action adventure movies with him!"

I said "There's a BIG difference. You like action movies."
I actually had to explain to her that no self-respecting man would want to watch 'The Notebook'.
For God's sake, I know women who hate those movies.
Why would a woman want to be with a guy who watches Jennifer Aniston movies?

It's a bit of a paradox. It's OK for a woman to be tough, but it's not OK for a guy to be a romantic movie-watching sissy.
Sorry, that's just the way it is. I don't make the rules.

I beg to differ good sir. My husband is a very manly man and he loves the movie The Notebook. He watches anytime it's on. It reminds him of his grandmother and grandfather who had a very similar experience.

And I can assure you he has plenty of respect for himself.

So, I guess the rule book needs to be edited a bit.

And what about Harry Potter? Is it chick movie too?

I watched the notebook with my lady friend. Like it too.

I don't know if it is a chick flick but one of the best movies I've seen of late is by Robert Redford..titled

"An Unfinished Life"

While I don't really care for Jenifer Lopez's music or dance..I think she did a good job acting in this movie.

When I am spending my monies..I don't care what other people think of me. Not interested. I go where I want to go and watch what I want to watch. The rest can take a hike.

Most movies I watch at home and or wait for them to come out on DVD as the walk in movies have become way to over priced. At home I can watch them at my own pace or turn them off and come back later. Refreshments are a lot less expensive as well.

I can enjoy a woman's company in privacy too.

I don't worry about being called sexist. When I read this complaint with the women's movement about "Manspreading" I knew they were running out of things about which to bitch. They were becoming desperate. I busted out laughing when I read that new Ideology.
Not interested in Sexism...because I know many women can be sexist...but don't think of it as so being.

When I am spending my monies and my Risks..I don't care what others think.

Thanks,
Orangetom

LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!

I wouldn't want to watch it as well. Not interested.

I'm going to work tonight from 6pm to 6 am in the morning. I will be working on top of a nuclear reactor all night and around radiation as well as contamination.

I don't need horror movies to stimulate me..or live second hand in fear/stimulation ..or call that nonsense entertainment.

I get the real thing on the job. I also don't go to amusement parks for the same reason...second hand thrills to think I have survived or passed some kind of pseudo test...or conquered/mastered some fear. I get the real thing at work.

You have to be educated in public schools...a movie and television education...to come up with something as ignorant and dumb as your post...and try to pass it off as enlightenment or the moral high ground. Some would call your post sexist. I don't think so. I think it is provincially ignorant.

Now..........I will tell you something very very scary .....people like you are voters.

Hope this helps some in here to think for themselves.

The most typical situation: when you come to watch a film you always can't see the ending))
Usually the film comes to sex

Put a star, if you had the same situation)

"Cutting Edge"

There are lots of dudes I know who actually like this movie. I'm one of them.

Thing is, I prefer to see it as spending a couple of hours with the woman I love vs. watching a movie. Sometimes, can be surprised, and it might actually have been worth the watch. Rarely, but eh....

Take Twilight for example. HORRIBLE franchise. Yet, in one of them, there's this scene where they are all getting ripped apart by each other (now we're talking!)....(turns out it was just a vision), but still, pretty cool for a chick flick! This was though, the only scene in the entire series worth watching.

Oh Gazzy....I had such respect for you up until now... but knowing you liked ANY scene from twilight has me second guessing my own judgment.

I'm a guy and I'll watch a movie with Tina Fey and Amy Pohler, because I like them.

But in general the romantic movies are like fluff for women: just a fantasy that will never be true. The same as an action movie for a man: just fluff as entertainment. And sometimes boobies. Put some boobies in the romantic comedies and more guys will go.
