Ok, I've never heard of butter in coffee, but I have enough bad habits and shouldn't be adding to them. LOL

There's always room for another bad habit

I'm having a very busy day at work, so cannot respond as I am just sitting down for a second and then out the door I go again, but thank you everyone for the support!

i stumbled on it in a rather odd way. that i didn't like at first.

i use heavy cream. so after a 3 block walk to Starbucks, and my cup moving around while walking, i started to churn up some butter in the cup. The coffee tasted sour, due to the buttermilk that was being made.

it was pretty gross. but i mentioned it during some light banter with a guy i worked with. he said, "that may be gross...but try it will real butter. just a quarter pat is all you need".

Yeah, its pretty good. But i still use heavy cream and the fat content of my coffee is already pretty solid. So i just stick to my french roast with heavy cream and splenda.

Quick break.

I have not tried the butter today, I overslept, ran out the door and have only had a cup.
I'm having a cup now, but no butter in it.

I'm curious though so will try it.

bfft, you are the 3rd that says it is alright, so curiosity is getting really peaked.

syx, hows it going?

Hi Timely!

Hi Greathouse!

I'm still pondering doing a new thread, after looking over the other one, I think now I see the errors that caused some disapproval from the Mods, and if I do another one, I will certainly make those points known at the intro so it does not happen in the future.

I melt butter in the microwave and spoon it on to my English muffins. One day I used the same spoon to stir my coffee, I thought it tasted pretty good. Not surprising, I guess since I like that Southern Butter Pecan coffee creamer. One day I'm going to try throwing some pecans in my coffee bean grinder and see how that works out.

Hey, you wouldn't happen to be a member of a FB coffee group would you?

Cause that is where I saw the suggestion the first time.

Oh no! Facebook is one bad habit I don't have room for.

I guess if someone else recommended it, I'll have to step up my timetable. I was waiting for my pecan trees to start dropping. For me, buying pecans is like someone with oceanfront property buying sand.

I don't know, I'm pretty cheap.

Six pecan trees, two apple trees, three peach trees (young, no fruit yet), two blueberry bushes, two blackberry vines, two fig trees, two grape vines, and a black walnut tree. Birds and squirrels eat very well at my place. This fall I'm going to dig up the blackberry vines and one of the grape vines. It's a shame because they produce a lot of fruit, but they are covering up my blueberry bushes. I also planted some kiwi vines several years ago. They grow pretty well, but the fruit never seems to get bigger than grapes. I don't know if the vines just aren't mature enough, or the birds eat them before the fruit gets big.
