Friday the 13th announced!

Came across this yesterday and my jaw hit the floor. I cannot wait till October.

I remember being a little kid back in 1989 playing the NES with my copy of friday the 13th.
The lights were off in the living room and i headed into a cabin to rescue a survivor.
Thats where i first seen him. In his purple jump suited glory, weilding a machete.
I litterally screamed, terrified that i had to confront Jason.
Im sure i died well over 500 times and came to know the end screen very well...
"Youand your friends are dead"

I really hope they can pull this off and give the same atmosphere of terror i felt as a child. They did an excellent job on the new Alien isolation video game, i hope this is even half as good.

There is little info right now but from what i read you will be able to play as Jason in multiplayer mode. Hunting and killing the campers of crystal lake.


Have any of you heard anything else or are perhaps in the know of who exactly is taking this project on?

I saw something on it a while ago. It looked cool. I'm not sure but I think you can play as Jason.

I play the original yearly on my NES. This might be interesting as long as LJN isn't attached

I can see it now, sneaking through a blood splattered house in a dim lit setting when suddenly you hear "chchchch ahahahah".

I wonder if you can trip when you run?

well if its true then grab it while you can cause i bet within a week theres an outrage and its banned in just about every country.

I can't post the link I found, because I'm on my phone, and ATS is stupid complicated to post simple things. (although that's prolly just me!)

But type in Friday 13th game play into youtube, and set the filter to 'this month' and you'll find a Russian video of the game play, followed by some really cool multi player game play with some American dudes on microphone. It's super cool, enjoy!

Atari made one for the 2800 if I recall and it was horrible.

This map can still give me nightmares! Fun game, but too hard for me as a kid.
I would pay for a new, quality version.

Lol i remember it clearly as well my friend.

I remember going threw the cave unknowing that Jason's Mother's head was flying around in there.
And always lighting all the cabins fireplaces for the torch

For me the worst was trying to use the boat, and Jason would swim past and mess you up.
