Earth heading for 'mini ice age' within 15 years - The Maunder minimum

A professor Zharkova of Northumbria University in the UK has predicted that the earth is heading to a mini ice age due to the behaviour of the sun. Link

I'm not quite sure what to make of this prediction though to her credit she has based it on analysis of the sun and more precisely the maunder minimum. I kind of hope it is true because there have been too many scare stories about global warming that seem to be not true or exaggerated.

It will be interesting to see how the rest of the scientific community react to this.

Yeah, so what? Its what earth does. It always has. Ice ages, heat waves, famines, hurricanes, tsunamis, tornados, floods...its something normal and natural and how the planet changes shape.

Doesn't matter about one more "mini-ice age" or heat wave...How many times do you think its happened in the thousands and thousands and thousands of years?

So, get it right....Changing climate-both good and bad-both regular and infrequent is NORMAL. Its supposed to happen time after time.

We shouldn't take it as anything different, unusual, unexpected. Mother Earth will always do her thing: quakes and eruptions, hurricanes and typhoons, famines and floods.

Normal. (and YES, man has an effect pollution wise on it too...but that's not the issue you present here).

But, if it scares you....that's just silly...and cant be dealt with anyway...anymore than stopping a tsunami...its gonna happen because its SUPPOSED to!
