I'd like a president who speaks his mind and doesn't sound like a jibbering twit when he does so.

The only thing Trump has going for him is he is not a politician.

Way past time America had someone key word SOMEONE like that.

No more freaking lawyers.

No more freaking politicians.

I want someone who says what they honestly think.

Not just tell people what they want to hear.

you want someone who tells you what they honestly think? hitler comes to mind.

a lot of the things trump said could have been worded differently and i would agree w him. crime in general needs to be addressed not just by illegals, illegal immigration needs to end, the border needs to be secured, we need to find a way to let immigrants that are not known criminals and willing to work come here, we all know that americans are not willing to work the fields for the wages they pay, and if those jobs paid well an orange would be 5 dollars each. then trump says he would bomb the oil fields to stop isis and bring in american companies to take over and rebuild them, that will create even more people in the middle east to hate us. the man keeps sticking his foot in his mouth. he is attracting a bunch of bigots and creating even more animosity and division in our country.

As many times he has run for office how can you say he is not a politician? Because he hasn't won?

I want someone who says what they honestly think.

Even if they sound like a racist asshat.

Not just tell people what they want to hear.

That is just what Trump is doing. Trump has types of people rooting for him people that are xenophobic and the other type is racist.

Xenophobic ?

Racist ?

Hell the guy hasn't even been elected yet.

Expecting people to follow the law makes him 'racist/xenophobic'.

Too funny.

Guess the race card has unlimited funds.

With respect, I think your query rather misses the point, although I can understand your frustration with the double talk, obfuscations, and outright lies of previous administrations and individuals within those administrations.

However, the query is flawed none the less.

You see, the reality is that politicians are famed for the way they talk. Whether straight talking and no nonsense, or full of double meanings and half statements. However what no one seems to grasp is that by becoming a politician, by putting oneself forward as a candidate, one invalidates ones legitimacy as a candidate. Why? Because the people who want to lead are the people who should never, EVER be allowed to control anything other than their breathing, and most of the bastards need supervision to do that properly.

Trump, for example, is yet another high powered psychopath, a man who has gotten where he is,not through hard work, but by backstabbing the ever living hell out of his workforce, his suppliers, customers, and most of the people he has dealings with in the course of a day. You can tell, because it is functionally impossible to earn the amount of money he has without doing so. No one in his social position got there by the sweat of their brow, but instead got there by taking credit for the actual work of decent people, work he would rather force himself through a garlic press genitals first, than do himself.

You do not want a successful businessman (read psychopathic, narcissistic, dead hearted bastard) to lead a nation.

Vote for the person who wants the job the least, the lady or gentleman who will not spend money on a campaign, the one who would rather do anything else than lead a nation. Chances are, they will do a better job for everyone, than any candidate who believes himself/herself worthy of such a task.
I agree.

What you said about an orange becoming five dollars each... Nonsense.

It would only get to that stage, if the company running the farm were unwilling to absorb that cost, which, given the vast amounts of money in big agriculture profits over the last couple of decades, and the number of billionaires running those companies, would be an entirely unsupportable and socially irresponsible position for them to adopt. Of course, they would adopt it, which is precisely why many people believe that pure capitalism is equally as dangerous as any of the alternatives.
