Yes and Per Se in New York City.

3 michilin stars should be as good as you get.

Be prepared to be dissapointed with most resteraunts after that one!

I plan to visit theFat duck in the UK a sililar level resteraunt although a taster menu for two with drinks is about the same as a months rent over here.

Maybe you should work your way up slowly, no joke once you understand how good can be it can spoil popping out to a local resteraunt.

Also in all seriousness if your not used to eating such expensive food you may feel uncomfortable with the experience.

You might be better of splitting that cash over a few very good resteraunts over a few months as opposed to a single hit at a high class resteraunt.

They both were two of the best meals I have ever had although I did favor the 20 course affair at Per Se for overall satisfaction but the setting for the French Laundry was much better.

yeah, i love good food. But don't occasion to travel much to anywhere outside of Texas. We have great chefs here (David Bull, Stephen Pyles, Dean Fearing, Omar Flores) and I work too much to really get a chance to get away.

But my job lets me enjoy some of this stuff, and meet some of these chefs. The burger i mention i had at David Bull's place in Austin, Second Bar & Kitchen. its "The Congress Burger", with the foie gras added on. They also do a porkbelly confit that is a fantastic add on for the burger. The menu changes, but the pork belly is always on there somewhere.

Augustus has surely had more/broader/better experiences in food than me. Especially when it comes to wines.

To answer your question, no. I haven't been there. I have been to Congress (another Bull place, next door to the aforementioned place) for their tasting menu, though. It is quite an experience.

Only because I travel more and live next to New York City.

Next time I am down in Texas the grub is on me if we go to that burger joint. The food looks insane on their menu.

I went to The French Laundry to return "Lost Property" and returned a waitresses backpack when I worked at a large police department in that area. One of the cooks, sorry Chefs, saw Me eyeing a rack of Lamb and gave Me a nice portion with some of these creamy mashed spuds and some done up asparagus...

It was good enough that I'd go back if the opportunity arose. I was born down the street at Queen of the Valley and My Dad's family goes back to the turn of the Century Napa (1800-1900s)..



It sure beats Outhouse...uh....er.... Outback™ and the imported Lindemanns..
