Was There More to the Cancellation of Invader Zim?

Some of you may have been able to notice that I am a fan of Invader Zim. Well, I noticed that there are some themes in it that would lead a big corporation like Nick/MTV/Viacom to cancel it.

Note: These quotes are not 100% accurate because I don't feel like going to get my DVDs.

EXAMPLE 1:

Episode "Career Day"
Bill: The government is behind most of the conspiracies and cover-ups.

EXAMPLE 2:

Episode "Tak: the Hideous New Girl"
Tak (Built a giant evil wienie stand to hollow out the earth and fill it with snacks for the tallest.): The thing about your people Dib, is that they just don't notice. They see this as another corporate venture, not world conquest.
Dib: Is there really any difference?

EXAMPLE 3:

Episode "The Most Horrible X-Mas Ever"
News Man: So Santa, what do you have to say?
Zim (In Cybernetic Santa Suit): All will obey Santa in this New World Order. Oh yeah!
News Man: Even our President Man has stepped down to make room for Santa.
President Man (Represnts Bush): It's all yours, Santa!

EXAMPLE 4:

Episode "The Voting of The Doomed"
??? (Represents World Controlling Secret Societies): Willy, you will not complain about nasty toilets like your predecessor. You will obey!
Willy (Just Elected Student President): Uh, okay.

I was sad when they cancled invader zim too but I dunno if the government would be so concerned about a cartoon show on Nick.

damn it i still miss invader zim
