The article on that 2nd link was well written. The expert did a great job of explaining What is So Neat about the find. The only other "Starfish
Field" is in Scandinavia, and that it is likely the same extinction level event embedded both fields. He explained that it is so rare to see more than
1 type together, where there are 22 types in a section which was studied, from this field.
The bit in the end about the son who is now 14, from 6, is interested in other things, but the dad will "keep him apprised of the starfish findings"
was a nice little exit to the write up.
Go out and walk on your national lands! BLM and Forest Service holdings... Stuff js still out there to find
