Hi
I have seen this documentary several times and thought it would be good to have up for discussion. It certain around the troubles and particularly the recordings of Brendan Hughes and David Irvine. It looks at the role in the war from both sides of the fence from two of the leading figures.
Alot of it resonates with me having grown up in the falls road from a strong nationalist background. Growing up you seen Gerry Adams as untouchable and his political career is their for itself. However this documentary paints a different picture of the self styled pacifist. It shows him to have led many of the IRA attacks and his betrayal of Hughes who he fought with for 30 years. It raises the question who Gerry Adams really is and who is really running the show.
