Disrespecting dead traitors. I agree with you about moving bodies. But we arnt glorifying Bo Bergdahl as a soldier and only renounced his citizenship. The south renounced there citizenship, attacked America and tried to steal almost half it's land.

North America and South America are continents, not countries. You can be from any country in South America and still be called an American lol. Calling the USA America is just short hand for the full name. You need to stop it.

That last part about the confederates is wrong, You really don't know your history. Terrorist attacks? WTF Really? Loyal american soldiers? What planet are you even on. Confederates were not deemed traitors but simply americans who fought for what they believed in. Go back to history class.

But they fired on Fort Sumter!
Nobody was killed though.
Not to mention Ft. Sumter is on South Carolina state land.
It was Lincoln's refusal to remove the garrison that ignited the first shots.
There was also consideration to the idea that the Confederacy would retain the Old Flag of the US.
They were never traitors, none were ever tried as such.
Lincoln thought they were in sedition and never recognized the Confederacy as a foreign country.
Thus they remained Americans throughout the war.

Actually a number of Confederate leaders were indicted for treason but were not tried for their crime because they were given blanket amnesty by President Andrew Johnson when he left office. But what they did was a treasonous act and should have been tried for their crime.

The actual treason was committed by Lincoln sending Federal troops to attack the Southern states.
It was his threat to march troops to South Carolina that swayed Virginia in to joining the Confederacy.
Johnson was impeached because the radical Republicans still thirsted for more blood and wanted to punish the Confederacy. They got their way, it's called Reconstruction. Took away their 1st and 2nd amendment rights as well as the right to vote.
The Northern financial interests then plundered the South legally as they had always desired to do.

The Union attempted to resupply Ft Sumter on January 9th, 1861 with the ship Star of the West but was fired upon by the cadets at The Citadel and returned unsuccessfully. This prompted Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas to secede within the following three weeks and the Confederate States of America was formed.

South Carolina repeatedly called for Ft Sumter to be evacuated and Jefferson Davis sent delegates to Washington to offer to pay for the Federal property on southern lands, pay for the Southern part of the national debt, and negotiate a peaceful end. President Lincoln would not accept this as he was determined to not recognize secession as legal or that the Confederate States of America was a legitimate government.

So the Feds tried to resupply Fort Sumter AFTER SC seceded. Jefferson Davis offered to buy federal land in the South and The South's part of the national debt but Lincoln said nope. The USA would lose a large part of it's income if the South seceded. This was not about slavery, states rights or any other red herring to Lincoln. This was about money.

Proof that Lincoln set a trap, in essence a false flag from his own letter to Capt. G. V. Fox.

You and I both anticipated that the cause of the country would be advanced by making the attempt to provision Fort-Sumpter, even if it should fail; and it is no small consolation now to feel that our anticipation is justified by the result. Very truly your friend A. LINCOLN

Lincoln needed the South to fire the first shot so he set in motion a plan. He ordered the re-provision of Fort Sumter and sent word to SC Governor Pickens that he was doing so.

By your logic, Canadians and Mexicans are Americans too because we live on the North American continent...

A president that wasn't bent on domination, a Constitution that respected their rights to self-govern, and so forth. You know, freedom, same as our founding fathers split from England to obtain. Are you condemning them as well? If now, well, that's a bit hypocritical.

Mexico is an existing nation. The Confederate States separated, as as their right, to form a nation apart from one that would dominate them.

Logic isn't a word I am sure you should use, considering your premise.
