Kentucky clerk sued for not issuing gay-marriage licenses

Unfortunately it might take some time to fully impeach the clerk(s).

KY state funded Legislative Research Commission report on KY impeachment laws (1991):

The clerk(s) must first be impeached by the KY House of Representatives and then put on trial in the KY Senate.

Unless a judge decides to jail the clerk(s) for contempt, it appears there is quite a long process to remove the clerks(s) from office.

Your beliefs don't matter at all when you work for the gov, sorry. Working as a city clerk makes you a representative of the legal bindings of the land. Your opinion is worth nothing.
