If Catalonia ever get independence.......

What happens with Barca and Espanyol. Do they play off in their own mini Catalonian league? I cant see them rejoining La Liga.

That would be a very small league indeed.
There would be no clasico if that ever happens! Probaby the most famous rivalry in the world and for that alone I doubt it they'll separate the league, even if the region does gain independence.
Not to mention Spain would be dominated by Madrid only

They dont want anything to do with Spain, and La Liga represents Spain in a big way. Very unlikely they will stay with La Liga.
I heard some Barca fans say that they will end up joining EPL...so they are pretty deluded there. It will be interesting. La Liga will go on and only be slightly affected as they still have other big clubs.

nah i think they will remain with La Liga. Just like Wales clubs compete in EPL. They would be hurt by no El Classicos. The El Classico is big part of both clubs identity, losing that would take a lot away from the clubs. Even though they would hate to admit it - they would miss each other!
