So now you have broken down to hyperbole.

The confederates got their ass kicked because they were forcing the unjust laws and acts on the north such as fugitive slave act, kansas-nebraska act, compramise of 1850, ect.

You could just looks into the laws passed in that time to get an understanding of the history.
If your read up on those laws it would be much easier for you to understand the differences the north and south had.
