i live in what you would call a high end area. i have seen many things that should have made the news or at least the local paper, yet it never shows up. a good example of media suppression is a friend's little brother that had a bad drug problem. one day on a bender he took a gun and held many people hostage. swat removed him with out any shots being fired. this happened a few blocks away from me. got the local paper and there was nothing about it. looked up the sheriff blotter and all it said was disturbance in the block of. there are other moments as bad as that. and yet none of it made the news. i finally ask the question to a local leo. why does nothing ever get reported here? the answer i got was not what i thought i would hear. his answer was simple. "cause it could bring down property values". so the cops and news both keep quite as to not bring down property value. it makes sense as to why the low end parts of town you hear about every thing. so are the safest cities to live in just a lie because they don't report most of the crimes?

The crime is still recorded by the police and used in statistical analysis. It doesn't matter if the media reports it or not.

Ever notice how there is no bad news in Louisiana? Well there is plenty of bad stuff that goes on there, yet not even a blurb. Why? If you know the answer to that question you will be on your way to full blown conspiracist and there will be no turning back.
