This is an excellent site. Monitor global earthquakes in near real time. It also does some nifty things like showing the line between day and night
across the globe and also seasons. Purple dots represent quakes over the last 5 years but also illustrate how they define the boundaries of the
tectonic plates. Thankfully Australia sits in the middle (approximately) of a plate, but there sure is a lot of action on the northern and eastern
rims.
