I am a conscious entity that can continue learning and improving. And I shall.

Within this reality time does exist. That's why your body will eventually decay unto the point where your spirit needs depart.

Wouldnt you agree that if you were to become a more advanced entity that wasn't bound by time in a linear fashion, and you could experience the universe at any place or time in every event that ever unfolded, you would still be a part of something bigger?

That even at that level you are still just an entity with an individuality?

And ultimately your individuality exists because you are just a manifested extension of the universal consciousness?

Which would mean, regardless of your place in time, ability or level of advancement, you would always just be the universe experiencing its own expansion in the event of the specific experience?

It's fantastic and also sad, because everything that will ever happen has already happened.

Even if you were to take your advanced entity into another life and live a human life all over again, you would still just be the universe at a different time and place, so we are essentially the universe interacting with itself.

In this sence every event that happens is a part of the universe creating the event, but at the same time remembering it.

You are me and I am you.

I would say this post basically answers your initial question.

You are here doing this simply for no other reason than experiencing it.

Even though universal consciousness already knows the experience, it can view it through you as though it doesn't already know whats happened, as your real-time consciousness.

You and I are just very tiny aspects of the greater consciousness and the real question would be, why not be here now experiencing this?

I'm inclined to think that there's an aspect of ourselves that is not quite at the unity of the universal consciousness but basically the equivalent of it that is able to experience the things that you wish you were experiencing now, such as anything not bound by time in linear fashion.

My reasoning for this is that since higher forms of emotion such as love and compassion cannot exist without two reciprocating parties, the prime consciousness would have had to take aspects of itself and grant them their own consciousness and free will in order to experience those things, and that those newer "beings" so to speak, are us on a higher level. We as humans, here and now, would just be one lowly aspect of our higher selves all playing out experiences just for the sake of experiencing them.

Great post!
I wonder if our current experience of consciousness only seems so small because we are bound by time, and very limited to what we can do being humans.

But as a whole, we are the same consciousness experiencing every consciousness ever, at the same time. So for us as an individual that sounds exhausting.

But the universe does it without any effort.

I would agree that we have become free thinking individuals so that we can experience emotions, like fun and love, so the universe lives vicariously through us.

A small part of a grand creation, maybe this entire physical reality is only created so that the universe can justify it's own existence.

Why are we locked int a physical realm of present, and not just inter-dimensional beings that can experience time in any direction? Why are we experiencing a small blip of the universe creating and remembering itself at the same time?

Lately, I have been thinking that the limited view of the universe (as opposed to omnipotence) is actually what we call consciousness.

Private conscious thought is nothing more our inability to perceive the entire truth of things.

We are cut off from a lot of truths, much the same way as a bubble cuts off a small piece of air from the full atmosphere.

If you have religious beliefs, then you might say that our consciousness is actually a barrier between us and God. Or -- if you are not religious, perhaps you could say that consciousness depends upon not seeing everything associated with the natural order of the universe.

Just an idea here.
