Please Help!!!! College/Career Advice Anyone?

I am finding certification programs are being held to a higher level than a Masters by many employers. For example, the PHR or SPHR certification for Human Resources is valued higher than an MBA. If you have a career path you plan to go after, consider looking into professional certification in the area you are going. I also had a friend who went after an MBA and she found it closed doors to her. She stated that the employer told her that the MBA made the them think they could not afford her due to her advanced degree. I would not let it stop you from achieving a graduate degree, but I just wanted to share what she experienced.
