My point is Hamas has to offer more than a ceasefire..... recognition of Israel's right to pracefully exist as a Jewish State in recognized borders would be a game changer.

The whole armed struggle highway is a dead end for both sides, more so on the Palestinian side. A new path needs to be tried.

I just don't see it happening from either side.

IMO, Israel does not need the recognition of some religious terrorist group.
Israel is a sovereign state for 67 years now. It is unanimously recognized by the international community.
Hamas's recognition (or the lack of it) of Israel's right to exist can't change the reality - Israel is not going anywhere.

Reconciliation has to start somewhere, and I think this is not a bad place/time.
