Reply to moderator option ?

Just curious as to why this is even added on to post removal or change of venue for threads . I have replied several times. Yet the replies go unread ?

I just thought it might be more efficient to remove that remark. There's lots of honest sensible questions in limbo in U2U boxes unread that are only taking up space .

That is because if you hit reply to that message your message would go to the "Staff" or "Moderators" inbox which is never checked by anyone. However, if you make sure you wrote the moderators name correctly in the "send to:" box, i.e. Gemwolf (with the correct caps) then the message should be received just fine.

Unlike popular believe, a specific moderator is not online 24/7/365. That means your message may go unread for hours or even days.

Most messages will get a reply, but some will not... For instance if a moderator removes one of your posts, and you send them a message like "What the hell were you thinking you idiotic Muppet!?"; chances are very slim that you would get a response.

While there is no rule that says a moderator has to respond a message, we do tend to make a point of doing so, to ensure that there are open communication channels between the staff and members.

If you don't get a response from a moderator after a reasonable time, and you still have a burning question, then you are welcome to use the complaint feature, and your question will be seen by all moderators. This is usually a better bet than a private message to a specific moderator, as you are more likely to get a faster response.
