I am not sure what you mean by "going off on the US" - but if you go back about 100 years, give or take, there was a massive fear of Anarchists filling the minds of people with all sorts of 'it's over" thoughts. Murder, crime and graft ( social and political ) were rampant in all sectors of life - from city hall to the White House and mass murderers were right there in the mix. In fact you know many of their names - as they've been idealized and immortalized in our culture - from Wyatt Earp to Al Capone.

Even the political climate and Oligarchical traits we are seeing today existed then, to an even greater degree.

I suppose the only real difference is that America, at that time, had yet to become a Superpower - so global rhetoric against us was not as frequent.

You're confusing serial killers--people who kill a number of people over time--with random rage killers--people who kill a large number of people at one time. And in the last category, there has definitely been a vast increase in the last 30 or so years.

Broad brush painting a ton of events with one defendant ( that I can think of off hand ) claiming no memory of the event.

That's not even mentioning that, as a defense lawyer in a open and shut mass or spree killing there really isn't much to do other than go for an insanity play. "Not remembering" is convenient to that cause.

James Holmes gets lumped into these conversations. His notebook was just released a day or two ago and it was filled with extensive planning, comparison of locations based upon how easy it would be to trap victims, and so forth.

I know for myself if sufficently surprised by violence I can move reflexively before I think if they are too close but I have training.
More are killing because it's FUN more moms killing their kids...

History disagrees.

Read your source. Most of the mass killers are from recent history.

A lot of the killing has to do with density dynamics.

When human beings are pushed into crowded areas and small living spaces, violence tends to go up in those areas. It's almost a subconscious population control measure...it's ingrained and hardwired into our mammalian brains by birth and design...people will flip out over everything from stress of confined living to territorial disputes. Especially if certain drugs are involved - and they usually are.

This is nothing new.

As Heff said...history repeats itself.

In biology they showed what happens to petri dishes with a limited supply of nourishment for the culture growing within. If the culture was homogeneous, it either reached a point of sustainability and slowed growth or else persisted in resource consumption and eventually died off. Some cultures even grew to the maximum size of the dish and started dying on the outside first while the center thrived until a point of equilibrium was reached. In yet still other cases, a mixed culture sample would even develop new strains in an attempt to feed off other cultures. Some strains even became cannibalistic.

It's elementary survival and sustainability.

Human cultures, bacterial cultures....they all follow similar dynamics.

To pretend otherwise is sheer folly.

To claim "mind control" because one cannot adapt to the realities of the world around them in a healthy manner is absolute bull#.

We are human beings and we have free will.

The majority of people I've met claiming "mind control" just do so to either:

A) Get the insanity defense for crimes they committed to get out of a prison sentence.

B) Get a government paycheck because "oh wow man I did too many drugs my bad take care of me because i'm completely irresponsible and nothing is my fault your honor i swear i'm totally in denial and a lazy bum but can't admit it to myself"

Now, don't misconstrue the above....

There are cults of brainwashing all over the damn place. We hear about them all the time. Religious cults mostly. A few political and apolitical types. Waco. The KKK. Various subcultures and gangs. That girl who escaped the Mormon Sex Cult. Scientologists. The list goes one and on and on. Radicals on the internet abound.

But these aren't "governmental operations"...these are civilian manifestations.

Do some of these groups advocate "overthrowing the government" as their call to arms? Of course they damn well do. It's quite common.

They scream and rant and rave about how "the Government this and the Government that" but they never shut up and just live an honest life. Most of the folks blaming "it's not my fault" I've personally met are on the dole for heavens sake. This evil "government" they rant about all the time is paying for their food, their shelter, their unemployment and their droves of illegitimate children.

They spend their free time watching television, movies and reading pulp fiction with the most noxious subject matter imaginable. Then they get bored, go outside, and do stupid things and claim someone else "made them do it". It's all over the damned place.

I have yet to hear of ANYONE having their door kicked in and being forcibly injected by anyone in official capacity.

Oh but I'm sure someone will step forward with some grandiose story any time now on their blog.
Internet points and attention grabbing. Nothing else to freaking do right?

It's always some shifty civilian dosing drinks or telling kids it's "fun to party, try this" and while those poor kids are suggestible, launching in with their agenda. Or some kid sitting in a haze of smoke just surfing the internet and being oh wow man and reading b.s. all over the place and sucking up the subversive material online like it was freaking Gospel.

I've been around these people for decades now.
Seen it too many times to count.

No one wants to admit it, but there it freaking is.

It would have to be electromagnetic or a light combination if this is correct.

I've suspected there might be embedded layers of code in certain websites that trigger a hypnotic effect on the viewer, the pulsation of the screen combined with other environmental factors leading to a state of auto-hypnosis. I experience it sometimes myself, even on regular browsing sites, and I certainly avoid some subjects altogether just to be safe, but some people aren't aware of how suggestible we really are, and in their explorations of the rabbit holes we call the internet, they can wind up in some really nasty places and not realize what they've gotten themselves into until things go terribly, terribly wrong.

I know this sounds rather dismissive of my previous comment, but I've seen some really bad stuff out there and it's noticeable right from the get go if these types of techniques and indicators are present. But some kids test the limits. They activity want to self-experiment and seek out some pretty dark stuff. They sit there and repeat the training until they have - by free will - brainwashed themselves into all manner of horrible.

For a while, when I was studying this branch of psycho-influence, I had to really keep myself on guard. Even mundane and gentle images would sometimes start putting forth horrible underlying messages suddenly and without warning. I spend my time online aware of my personal trigger points and if I feel the trance mechanisms start coming into play I get away from the image, music, website, or sometimes the whole computer entirely.

Even then, it's hard to shake off the effects of some of the worst of the worst of the worst.

I don't know where these codes originate, though I have my suspicions.

Anyone worth their salt knows when thinks start getting into a "somethings not right here" moment it's time to just say forget this crap and go outside and look at something beautiful and worth living for in the real world.

It's heartbreaking when they insist on persisting certain avenues, nothing good ever comes from it.

Have a look at this as a possibility..www.blacklistednews.com...

The activators would be distributed say through antacids ot popular junk foods maybe like a Red Bull.
How hard would it be to dope a vat some where?

The most effective forms of suggestion, which is the best way to indoctrinate a person into new views, combine subtlety with positive reinforcement. That's why we have TV commercials where half naked women sprawl out on wet cars and seductively move around to sell us cheeseburgers. Obviously ground beef has nothing to do with sex. BUT those commercials tend to make men want to eat a cheeseburger.

But they would REALLY have to step up their game, if the theory is correct, rather than just exual coersion.
