When it comes to your health system and pricing that’s probably right we don’t understand!

To pay $30,000 to fix a broken leg is alien to us. To even think it should cost that and why that money goes confuses us to know end!

Were did you come up with $30,000 for a broken leg?

A typical broken leg cost about $2500 without insurance, with about $200.

Now a complicated multiple break that takes intensive surgery my cost $30,000 without insurance.

And most hospitals also have social services that will work with a person if they don't have insurance to help find non-profit agency that will cover their bill.

My sister is a RN and both me and my wife have worked in hospitals for a number of years before our current jobs. I currently work in Greece and have talked about this with my co-workers here. The health care system in the US has been badly represented in Europe by the media in order to follow an agenda. YES there were/are issues, but the new system that has been put in place has started to cause far more then it has fixed.

Not all of Europe is like Greece and Obamacare is a turd by most developed country’s standards.

Just because we enjoy subsidized/ universal healthcare here dont assume we think Obamacare was a success

Glade someone agrees and I we had that turd dropped on us.



I did research on the basic "Bronze" plan that was the cheapest. Would cost me and the family over $400 a month and would cover NOTHING until we reaches a $5000 deductible. (That included all medication in the deductible also.) I figured that even with my wives and I medication we would never reach the deductible in a years. Which means I would pay out about $5000 and get NOTHING back unless we had some kind of serious issue. Luckly I can keep our current plan with cost me $350 a month and about $400 a year total for our meds instead of $4000 under the other.
