Actually, it was the twin grandsons, that made me make the appointment in the first place, and get me through.

Plus, my mom just made it through her 10th year quit.
And yep, my father died of lung cancer.

Instead of pack of cigarettes, carry a pack of carrots and just munch on them when you get that urge. This helped me transition to not smoking anymore.

I quit in 2000 and everyday I still have the urge to smoke tobacco; Then I remember how I felt when I decided to quit. That alone is enough motivation not to smoke ever again.

I started again too a few weeks ago after nearly 10 years of being mostly done! Because of some serious stress and drama in my life I am I guess self-medicating? I will quit again and get on with it in a bit. Just remind yourself it is temporary you quit before and you can again!

It is a nasty habit and not many smoke these days at my work at least so I smell like smoke ugh...

I recently switched to vaping, 3 months now without a cigarette.
It helps me with stress when i get stressed out but i admit, not nearly as much as a cig does.

Throw them cancer sticks out! Go at the vaping again instead, it's much easier to put down.

I went one year without one, then two years without one. I broke down at the beginning of the year and had one to relax (which doesn't make sense as it is a stimulant) because I was stressed on all fronts. I now smoke 5-10 per day. I wish I had never picked up that one to "relax". It's going to be a hard struggle to get back to quitting.

I think this is the biggest fear I have of quitting. Just the thought that I will never fully be over the cravings just kills me.

Meh as long as I don't drink I rarely craved them and I mean very rare! So don't worry!

A few cravings is a tiny price to pay compared to the results of smoking. It isn't the cravings that will kill you...smoking eventually will though.

I want to stress that it has nothing to do with the nicotine It isn't the nicotine that I have been craving. It is trying to find a coping method for stress.

Try doing 100 squats when you need to smoke.

Fitness can help big time.
