I can't recall the event but it is well known and has been discussed here.

Not MH17

It's an Iranian Il-76. It was years before MH17 during practice for a military parade.

So there just happened to be a formation of aircraft, that just happened to be flying over a war zone, taking pictures and video, directly in front of a commercial aircraft, and just happened to catch it on video as it crashed.

Or, there was a formation of aircraft that had nothing to do with MH17, filming and taking pictures during a military parade practice, and one of the aircraft has an accident and is caught on video.

Which of those two makes more sense?

The first tip to me it wasn't MH17 was the F-4... Ukrainian air force has never used them, much less any other Western aircraft.

Zaph, one thing i have learned from thsi website is that people will put 2 and 2 together and get 16 which is fine...but then not check their maths before posting it on ATS

It's been used a lot in compilations over the years so I'm not surprised. This one and the AN-26 shot down about a month prior to MH17 are popular "Is this MH17 crashing" videos.

3rd would be with that many military aircraft why did they shoot down a civilian aircraft.
