Yeah I just read all the previous post and seen the excuse they are using. This is the second time in a week they have harassed commercial cargo in that area. Seems they need to be taught a lesson. They should get a huge tanker, load it with wild hogs (all with remotely detonated suicide vest on) every tenth hog needs to have a GoPro strapped to it and let it float into their waters with the hogs in containers so they have no idea whats in them LMAO. When they take it to port, remotely open all the containers! The Hogs would chase all those nuts all over the area and wipe it out.

They were after a Maersk company ship, as Maersk owed money to an Iranian company for a large shipment that never arrived. I think they saw the Marshall Islands flag and decided to 'push' the ship into Iranian waters just a little bit. The US is will defend The Marshall Islands if attacked, but in a commercial maritime situation, we aren't fully bound to. I thin k the Iranian company might get it's money back.

By agreement the US is as responsible for the safety of the Marshall Islands and their citizens in the same manner they are responsible for US citizens.

Iran has a right to use lawful means to collect civil fines. They have no right to force a ship into their territorial waters by firing warning shots at it to to get it there.

True but as I look into it I don't think the captain went into their waters by accident. He was coerced to do so. The incident a week prior is they send out patrol boats and make you steer to avoid them like Hurding cattle. also explains all the twists and turns he was avoiding hitting them until they got him into their waters. And if your a captain and people are firing your bot worried about where you are at the moment your worried about getting our of their.

Well, the Iranians are known for such shennanigans because they want an excuse to make trouble. They are also known to alter navigation aids in hopes a ship or aircraft gets close enough to justify response.

All US flagged vessels will have a US Navy escort when in the Persian golf courtesy Iran.
