congratulations on your well deserved victory. i like the more down to earth approach you took with it, exploring humanity in its most natural form rather than contrasting it with supernatural elements. i am an incurable scifi junkie so thats how my pen often works, but you provide an excellent model for realism.

I really appreciate your sentiments! I did not want to go ahead and create some mystique for the character involving some sort of sky spirit or what have you, because that would be, in my eyes, somewhat trite, and it has been done, to absolute death by comic character creators over the years. I wanted Hank to be as much of a product of the chaos which counts as order in our universe as anyone else for all that his circumstances are appropriately improbable!

You had a really nice story with strong mood and everyone wanted more. I'd say that's a winner.

Are we having any more writing contests soon? I see we took off June, anything planned for July?
