I'm not sure there are many politicians who have done the opposite of what you have congratulated him on. None of that as far as I'm aware make him different from most - he just tends to attract publicity more.

Speaking as a person outside of his political constituency - he is I believe the only MP for his party, he was ejected from the labour party, but not for any reasons you have mentioned, trust me, he is considered as a very very minor celebrity who will stoop to whatever is required to get footage on TV.

Most people I know in Bradford think the same as I do: that the only person George Galloway represents is himself.

He is a self-aggrandising publicity junkie. There is no agenda involved with him other than the promotion and general enrichment of George Galloway, by George Galloway, for George Galloway.
