Weee

Cold War is officially back, I wonder how it started, when we financed Ukranian coup or when we attacked Syria with "Syrian Rebels"

This. Our own government restarted the cold war. Why? I dunno. Incredibly greedy and short sighted aholes who have a mountain to run to while they leave all the rest of us out to die.

Yes and Russia has built bunkers for their citizens. I guess freedom loving Americans do not fit into the future envisioned by the elites. They only want a populace that will be compliant and who does not insist on being armed in case the tree of liberty needs to be watered again with the blood of tyrants.

They can move the entire U.S. government into a bunker, but when it's over there will be nothing to govern. Nuclear war will be catastrophic and a nightmare. To think humanity could survive and rebuild after such devastation and radiation fallout is naive and an absurd sense of grander. Why would anyone want to live through something so horrifying? It will literally be hell on earth! The lucky ones will be the first to perish.

It's really pathetic to think people around the world give someone the ultimate power to threaten and give the order to kill billions and destroy our planet. Humanity hasn't evolved if we continue to believe in killing people to solve our differences, and continue to develop and use weapons of mass destruction. Just think of how much better the world would be if we used all of that same energy towards peace and developing a better life for people around the world.

I would hate to meet my maker if I was the one who gave the order to launch.

They moved NORAD to Peterson AFB while work was done upgrading the infrastructure in the Mountain. Work is done, they're moving back in.

What makes you think that?
Source?

On the fiftieth anniversary of the NORAD agreement--May 12, 2008--the Command Center located within Cheyenne Mountain Complex was officially re-designated as the NORAD and USNORTHCOM Alternate Command Center. The Cheyenne Mountain Division of NORAD and USNORTHCOM was re-designated as the J36 branch within the NORAD and USNORTHCOM's Operations Directorates.

www.washingtonpost.com...

The official reason was everything from saving money to the mountain not being necessary anymore but there were reports of a lot of work being done at the mountain after they moved. There was a big upgrade ongoing before they moved as well.

Why they really left Cheyenne Mountain Complex. Now why all of a sudden did they move back in?

In an interview with theDenver Post, Keating said the government's best intelligence "leads us to believe a missile attack from China or Russia is very unlikely."

Even with that, it's still one of the best places for a command post. It's one of those, if this happens, that might happen kind of things.

Must be budget cutbacks .. cheaper to reopen an old facility than to build a new one ..

This is Cheyenne Mountain, though. It's not like they're bringing a defunct bunker back online by any stretch. Cheyenne Mtn has remained a very active, very heavily staffed facility since it's creation and is part of the US' fallback plan for protecting VIPs during a major attack.

CSOC should stay in place and relay data to them.

And Shriver is just Space Command then...?

For the most part. That's its major command. There are other activities there but it's primarily Space Command.

I was Hired by PCSI at Ft Carson and we had to take some supplies their NORAD had a liason officer who was saying he wasn't sure why they moved to PETE but his face indicated he did so I did't press.
I always thought it was stupid to base that unprotected anyway.

Putin spokesman slams Times 'demonizing' Russia over perceived nuclear threat

Imagine that the media that the Kremlin runs is going to say anything different...

The Russian delegation, said to have been briefed by the Kremlin, relayed the message that Russia would respond with force, including nuclear, in cases where it felt threatened.

This particularly pertained to three key areas: any attempt to return Crimea to Ukraine; the supply of weapons by Nato to Ukraine and on Nato military build-up in the Baltic States, three countries where Russia sees "the same conditions that existed in Ukraine and caused Russia to take action there".

In the Crimea: Path to the Motherland documentary released in March 2015, Putin said that he was ready to put Russia's nuclear weapons into a state of combat readiness during the tension over Crimea's annexation.

www.ibtimes.co.uk...

Your right he never threatened the use of nukes over the annexation of Crimea...Oh wait he did do that.

Well if we have a new stargate series that all of a sudden appears on tv, then we know why they reopened the Cheyenne mountain complex

The upgrade went bigger than planned. As they dug in they found more that needed doing. Peterson was close and had most of what they needed.
