This is Obama and Iran's war.
Valerie Jarrett is popping her champagne cork...and toasting Obama.
This must be what Obama meant the other year when he announced Yemen to be a shining example of his successful foreign policy.

Actually, they restated Yemen as a "success" today.

Apparently the U.S. is supporting Saudi Arabia's military operation in Yemen but have not elaborated on the kinds of support

First lets remember Yemen is not nor has it ever been a real country. Yemen the nation consists of the capital. The rest of Yemen is divided amonts tribes that sometimes follow the Government and sometimes over throw it depending what rival tribes are doing. They just deals with whomever takes power because, frankly getting involved in Yemens interal conflicts is a waste of time. None of the tribes like the radicals so whomever takes power allows the US to killing them. Just as in this case. Of course with another civil war breaking out the US has pulled out until its over. On the plus side the radicals have been so beaten down even in a time of chaos they can not do much.
The Saudis have long had issues with Yemens lack of central control. Often raids across the border from Yemen are met with, we do not have control of those tribes response from Yemen. The Saudis again appear to trying to restore some order. I do not think that will work. The is providing intel of course and that should be the extent of US involvement until it can go back in after radicals.
I guess the Saudis feel with ISIS on the run in Iraq and the US about to bring Iran to heel they might as well try again in Yemen.
Now what we should be watching is Libya where Egypt is making more moves, while both the US and Egypt pretend that the US has nothing to do with it. Yet somehow Egypt's target lists are updated non stop and only one nation on earth can provide that kind of updated intel. Anyway the US likely to get more involved as the new AUMF (Authorization of Military Force) request allows the US to move against ISIS (well people using the name ISIS as ISIS is really only in Syria and Iraq) in places other than Iraq and Syria. Until that happens any assistance for Egypt in Libya will remain covert and denied.

How could you possibly leave Iran out of your analysis? They, not random radicals, are alleged to be wanting Yemen.
