Is this a Bush bashing thread or what? everybody makes him out to be some sort of wicked devil.

He did take us through the 9/11 business pretty well - showing solidarity and resolve to defend America. He even let Osama surrender by giving him one month to surrender and waged war as a last resort.
He may have done some things in the past but what he is now is more important and that is why the American people voted him to power. He represents the morals that most people in America believe in and also told the world as clear as could be that - we are watching everybody and at the slightest sign of danger to America we will come for you!
He may not be very suave and sophisticate[ like that degenerate Casanova Clinton] but he has better morals and relates better to the common American - That's whats important!
Also in hindsight he was the most influential man in this century [2000-2004]
Most of you democrats are so biased that you cannot see how he helped the country even if you wanted - now THAT is SAD!

Karl Rove is, IMHO, more influential politically. If it wasn't for him Bush wouldn't have gotten into power.

Time's Person of the Year does not necessarily equate with hero, humanitarian or the best of the best but refers to the most influential person of the year.

Person of the Year is an annual issue of TIME magazine that features a profile on the man, woman, couple, group, idea, place, or machine that "for better or worse, has most influenced events in the preceding year."

The title is, in ignorance, sometimes mistakenly assumed to be an honor. There was a massive public backlash in the United States after TIME named Ayatollah Khomeini Man of the Year in 1979. Since then, TIME has often shied away from choosing overly controversial candidates. TIME's Person of the Year 2001 in the wake of the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks was New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani. It was a somewhat controversial result; Giuliani was certainly deserving, but many thought that the rules of selection ("the individual or group of individuals who have had the biggest effect on the year's news") made the obvious choice Osama bin Laden. They cited previous choices such as Adolf Hitler demonstrating that Man of the Year did not necessarily mean "Best Human Being of the Year". wikipedia

The case can definitely be made that Bush was the single most influential person in the world this year - regardless of whether you see his influence and actions as good or bad.

B.

B. I think You mean To say Influential means:adj : having or exercising influence or power; "an influential newspaper"; "influential leadership for peace"

Encyclopedia; defenition of 'influential: List of famous well-known influential persons in East Germany (GDR), West Germany (FRG), Austria and in other states, until 1945 active Nazis were or leading positions in politics, culture, art, economics and society held (for example as members SS, SA, SD, Gestapo, armed forces, government, state, NSDAP, and so on) and despite "Entnazifizierung" again into influential positions into politics, economics and society came.

I'm sure you just wanted to correct our use of words..

This is NOT a Bush Bashing Thread...I never meant it to be one..having said that..Bush no matter how much Power He has at his disposal, could not in a million years carry the brain Power to manipulate the whole World..He's Not Alone..

It's about freedom of speech and analyzing Who's Deciding our future,my man ..I don't care if His name happens to be a bush or a shrub...

I agree with you, but the truth is that you are right Bush man of the year, should not be alone, the power behind the Bush administration should be in that picture with him, I will like to see the pictures of all of them.

Like the last supper painting.

like you said he alone could not have been able to do what he has done in the last 4 years of his political control.

How can you be soo sure? He might just look senile but underneath it all he might be a very good strategist, No matter how many friends and well wishers he had he could not possibly win an election campaign and pull off the other audacious acts without some inherent intelligence!
He maybe either exceedingly clever or exceedingly stupid but gaining so much power cannot be attributed just to some hidden charecter behind the scenes their has to be some inherent intelligence

Kills a hundred thousand Iraqis
Lies incessantly

No, not a wicked devil, but close enough for comfort.

He did take us through the 9/11 business pretty well - showing solidarity and resolve to defend America.

Yeah he sure did. He reads a story to children, he gets news of 9/11, what does he do? He continues to read. Then he goes on holiday. Finally, he defends America by releasing the Patriot Acts.

He even let Osama surrender by giving him one month to surrender and waged war as a last resort.

Yeah, and he even gave Saddam a chance to surrender by disbanding his scuds. Saddam did(foolish man) and then Bush ordered the invasion. Oh, and Bush is such a nice man, he even let Osama Bin Laden roam free and make a video threatening America, just a few days before elections.

He represents the morals that most people in America believe

he has better morals and relates better to the common American - That's whats important!

Yeah, wonderful morals. He is sworn to secrecy to keep hush on a fake-murder and lies to the people on the reasons he's going to war with Iraq. And the rest of the satanism I've already covered.

Most of you democrats are so biased that you cannot see how he helped the country even if you wanted - now THAT is SAD!

Who said we are democrats? Oh I see you're still caught up in the political propoganda of red vs blue.

OK...Let's Get to the 'Forbidden Truth'..

One only has to check out Bush's record as Governor of Texas to see his own preference for death over life. During his tenure as Governor, Bush presided over a record setting 152 executions, including the 1998 execution of fellow born-again Christian Karla Faye Tucker, a convicted murderer who later led a prison ministry. Forty of Bush's executions were carried out in 2000, the year the Bush presidential campaign was spotlighting their candidate's strong law enforcement record. The Washington Post's Richard Cohen reported in October 2000 that one of the execution chamber's "tie-down team" members, Fred Allen, had to prepare so many people for lethal injections during 2000, he quit his job in disgust.

.....Emmm..is this getting out of hand..??...

This all just liberal propaganda! Not based in facts ! Lies incessantly ? That makes someone a Satanist? Couldn't come up with some thing better?
Where do you come up with this stuff ? AT liberal-lies.com

Yeah he sure did. He reads a story to children, he gets news of 9/11, what does he do? He continues to read. Then he goes on holiday. Finally, he defends America by releasing the Patriot Acts.

He addressed the nation immediately after he got back from the school or does that slide through the "liberal" memory. The patriots act was passed much later...and the holiday was also much later- after the invasion of Afghanistan.

Saddam did(foolish man) and then Bush ordered the invasion. Oh, and Bush is such a nice man, he even let Osama Bin Laden roam free and make a video threatening America, just a few days before elections.

Saddam was guilty of making America believe that IRAQ had WMD. He was the kingpin of Anti-america sentiment in the middle east and the true Satanist you make Bush out to be.

He is sworn to secrecy to keep hush on a fake-murder and lies to the people on the reasons he's going to war with Iraq.

What murder is this now? Bush never lied about what he was going to war with Iraq for- he said that he was going to liberate Iraq from Saddam and so he did! I don't know what the "liberals" have made it out to be- but by your description it seems to be pretty far from the truth!

Oh I see you're still caught up in the political propoganda of red vs blue.
Are you Indian, by the way?

If can target Bush just because he is a republican and then claim to be unbiased about political orientation that just ludicrous.

BTW: Indian as in Native American or Asian Indian? I am neither

I was under the impression that we went to war for WMD. Or does THAT filter through the mind(less) of Bush supporters. JEEZ give me a break with your LIES. We went for WMD didn't find any and THEN were told it was to LIBERATE the people (read OIL).

Man! Are all the liberals so narrow minded??
We went to war to liberate the Iraqi's and Saddam was supposed to have WMD only made the case stronger to invade IRAQ.
If all the - "hoiler than thee"- liberals can remember Bush asked Saddam to leave Iraq with his sons and was given one months time failing which the USA threatened to invade Iraq . Saddam failed to leave in the stipulated time and guess what? We liberated the Iraqi's from him!

First of all....I am NOT a liberal. I have more conservative views than liberal. Why is it that if you are against Bush, you are automatically a Liberal/Democrat? I am neither. I am middle/Libertarian. Plus, liberating the iraqi people was NOT the reason we went to war. The official reason was because Saddam was a THREAT to the USA....which he was NOT. Stop listening to the Carl Rove propaganda out there.

t

What do you expect, the Bush propaganda team has done a great job on making the population think that Iraq is a noble cause, and most has forgotten about the real reason to be in the middle east.

Does anybody remember "Bin-Laden"

Humm, quite a change of hart our administration had.

Typical ! As soon as you say Saddam was bad every one calls you a Carl rove supporter, are you so threatened by Bush and the 52% of americans who voted for him that you make blatant genralizations?
A sign of weakness- fear that people no longer prescribe to your ways and are slowly but steadly shifting towards a more Republican["American"] approach.

Of course it is, IAF101. Today, Bush is a satanist, tomorrow he'll be a bible-thumping Christian fundy. They can't make up their collective mind.
