Given that we've been experiencing an increase in activity bringing the Aurora further South (and further north from the Southern lights too) than
we've seen in our lifetimes, this could logically be connected.
The problem is that there are several plausible theories.
It could be related to the Aurora.
It could be a form of lightening.
It could be a meteor.
It could be a man-made event, such as a plant mishap Russia doesn't want to admit, or even a weapons test of some kind.
The least plausible option is "ALIENS!!!!"
So, logic would limit it to a natural phenomena or a man-made one. It would be interesting to see what's in the direction of this flash. If there's
any large military site there I think we can probably increase the likelihood of this being a weapons test of some kind. It seems a little odd that
such a thing would not have been seen elsewhere if this were a natural phenomena other than a meteor.
Lightening doesn't usually occur like this, in one place, at one time, then stop. Surely if this were lightening there would have been more than just
this singular event.
