I have to say something. Why would anyone who has been alive in the 1970's say they have no problem with Iran having nuclear capabilities?

A Theocracy, run by the unelected who will do anything to maintain their current seat of power and keep the populace under the thrall of Jihad.

Iran is the money "money" behind Hezbollah which slaughters innocent Israelis. Iran which kept the pot boiling in Afghanistan. Iran which harbors(ed)? alquieda. Iran which sees Israel as a competitor for regional power.

Russia sold to Iran for cash and to garner some form of lost control in the Middle East. Iran refused light water reactors becuase they want the uranium. Only one reason. They want the nuke. And then we will have to be concerned about a cheesed of Islamic colonel selling to his Jihad brothers and New York radioactive for 100 years.

Hezbollah was formed to end the Israeli military occupation of Lebanon and their attacks were primarily against military targets. Iran's support for Al Qaeda and for the Taliban were less than the Pakistani and Saudi support. Why aren't you going after them?

Soficrow, I am intrigued by your position on this issue. I have a question for you:

Wouldn't you say it is a problem when a nation becomes a nuclear power BEFORE its own internal human rights issues are resolved? For example, if the American southern states had gotten better tech than the north in 1850's America, wouldn't the world have been different for blacks?

So too, if Iran is respected on a global playing field and is allowed to join the nuclear club, doesn't that bode ill for its internal female population and also for the rest of the world's women?
