My brother is gay, and he went through a terrible time when he came out. Lost his friends, and even had to move away. Even was suicidal. So, he chose to lose his friends, and move away? He chose to be gay to feel suicidal?

Now, he is the happiest I have ever seen him. Been with the same partner for about 15 years.

Really, I should just ignore people like you because it really opens my eyes to the fact that we are still so primitive and backward, who use fairy tales to decide what's right and what is wrong

They might choose to act but they don't choose the desire to act.

The desire to engage sexually with a child isn't a choice. It's just something they feel they want.

Just like we all desire whatever we desire sexually. They choose to act on that desire the same as we all choose to act on ours. Or choose not to act.

Again, the desire isn't a choice but acting on it is.

Some pastors who have been preaching against homosexuality have been outed as being homosexuals.

But you are not born gay!

Over time your life experiences mould who you become. Maybe it was something in your childhood, maybe it was something in your teenage years, but over time your mind adapts and you become who you are.

the only choice you make, is the choice to suppress it and pretend or the choice to accept it and be free.

I do not think you are born with an attraction to children..might be wrong though. I think it is from being a psychopath or being abused as a child and wanting revenge on society..so they do the same things in order to gain sense of control they lacked as a child.

I have always thought with attraction, follows love but how can one say they are attracted to another and yet do horrible things to them.

I'll answer it, no being sexually attracted to children is not a choice, acting out on those desires is a choice.

Why would some go through castration in order to stop their sexual desires when they could just choose to be attracted to adults instead?

And a huge NO, not everyone has had a sexual attraction to the same gender. I can admire a beautiful woman doesn't mean I want to share my life with one.

I disagree, you are born that way. For people to say it is not...then at some point in their life they had to have been attracted to both sexes...but made aconscience decision to be like the opposite sex.

If I were wrong..then explain how a child with two parents(mother and father) who were against gays...(so obviously their lives were not moulded by any gay upbringing or lifestyle) still turn out gay?

The fact that many of them hate the fact that they have that desire and no matter how much they would love to be attracted to normal adults yet cannot seem to break away from that desire is what I base my opinion.

How much have you looked into it??? Have you ever listened to the testimonies of some of them who struggle with all the problems it causes in their life???
