What does Snowden has to do with this? Why do you people always go off-topic, is it your attempt to cover up your lack of evidence? I mean you touched all this unrelated stuff that is how exactly related to this? All that you are causing is derailing of this thread. I yet again have to report these off-topic posts, which i doubt will get removed.

People here are actually suggesting that the Russian police should question Putin. What the hell am i reading here. Does anyone honestly believe such a thing would happen in ANY country in the world? I seriously doubt you guys are this naive.

I mean, if you guys are willing to believe that JFK was killed by some ordinary lunatic on his own, why's it that hard to believe that the same thing happened in the Russia? But, no, let's all jump to conclusion without providing zero evidence. Putin did it, well, because he is Putin. Makes sense.
Let's talk facts here. Do you guys have ANY evidence that suggest Putin ordered for Boris to be killed? No. Do you guys honestly believe you will ever get the evidence to prove it? In my point of view, this topic is pointless because we're never going to find out the truth.

Before calling for democracy and the truth in other countries, maybe you should start with your own country.

Interesting situation.

Police investigators will want to keep her around until they can put together a detailed resume of her friends and acquaintances, people she confided in. They will want to investigate those people and find out to whom they are connected.

Their investigation will lead to people connected to the government or to people with sinister outside connections of some sort or other. Their investigation will be put on the back burner if it leads to places embarrassing to the government. If it leads to places embarrassing to others, it may be allowed to come to fruition.

It is quite likely that police themselves have told her to say that she saw nothing.

You are correct if Putin had something to do with this the police would never question him in a million years. Like I said earlier in this thread what are the odds Putin would have this man murdered right next to the Kremlin...............It would never happen.....NEVER. It would be a suicide or drowning or car accident.

Unless these guys running Russia are truly brilliant......Not so sure about that.

Let us say you have your eyes on someone for many years and he was an ex-KGB, and you know you have to discredit him much later on to undermine his power, what would you do ?

You just murder a few of his opponents over the years.

Oh come now, Obama can't so much as sneeze in the U.S. without scores of people calling for his impeachment/arrest. And considering this is ATS we're on, I'm sure many, many people believe the government killed JFK. Pointing fingers at Putin is natural for ATS, who know there has been a concerted effort to silence/imprison/kill any political dissidents to Putin's game.

I am not a Putin lover......That being said this he is not stupid and I believe had nothing to do with this. Could I be wrong....Ya.

If the west had anything to do with this they are flat out nuts. What happens if Russia has a revolution or falls apart internally......This is bad for everyone. Russia is not Libya,Egypt,Iraq,Sierra,Iran,Afghanistan,Pakistan. These are all 3rd world countries that have no military might or large populations. Actually Pakistan is not a good idea either. If that country falls apart it could lead to very bad things also.

I'd say publicly would be the way to go if he just disapears or killed out of the way as you said makes it look more likely he did it. Publicly if he did do it he can deny it by saying it's someone else.Me personally I dont doubt the FSB knew about it after all wouldn't be much of a security service if a person they were watching was killed and they didn't know.

So question is did they just not stop it??

True, but then, we must realize that the position of the US president is nothing more than a name. I mean, the US president is being asked about nothing. The recent one(s) obviously.

My whole point is that you will never be able to connect this case with Putin. The only thing we have against Putin is that Boris was the opposition leader. Nothing else, nothing more. If you think that's enough for someone to be called guilty, then it's pointless for any of us to discuss this with you guys. The saddest thing is, that is actually enough for some people. And you know why? It's because they will believe in absolutely anything that fits their belief system. And in this case, that Putin is a cold-hand murderer, a dictator and what not.

I was hopping for a more serious discussion.

Nemtsov wasn't killed in a vacuum Nikolai. There is a long history of Putin's critics and opponents getting killed. Of course there isn't going to be evidence to link him, but when people review the long list of high profile people getting murdered in Russia there is a common denominator. In detective work that type of evidence is valid. Well, in real detective work it is. In Russia Nemtsov's blood wasn't even washed off the street before the Kremlin said this was a 'provocation'.

The very nature of this website is to question the official story of the MSM, on both sides of the aisle.

If a major political opponent of Obama turned up dead somewhere, you can bet there would be entire scores of people on this site who would immediately point fingers at the man in charge. It's natural here to question the validity of a statement or of the official narrative. Sometimes assertions are made with little or no evidence to back that assertion up. Do I believe Putin had a hand in this man's death? It's possible. As I said in a previous post, he may have made a harmless remark such as "Will no one deal with this meddlesome politician?" and that may have led to someone taking it seriously and acting on it. Perhaps he had NO hand in it at all, intentional or not, and just some wild supporter among Putin's astronomical approval ratings decided this guy was an enemy of his beloved leader and took him out? Maybe it was a controlled hit by U.S. in order to point fingers at the Kremlin?

We here at ATS will likely never know the full story, but it sure is fun to speculate!

Even though you do not deserve to get a reply for me, I will do it this one and the last time.

First of all, my name is not Nikolai, which you can clearly see because it says right above my avatar. So, this is a subtle provocation in order to present me to look like a Russian. I'm a Yugoslavian, which is no where near Russia, which can be confirmed with my IP address by the mods.
I don't care, you are not the first one who did that, just wanted to let you know , that i know what you are trying.

I don't know what made me reply to you, because my opinion is that you contribute nothing to threads and that's why I avoid reading your replies, but this one caught my eyes, and just had to do it.

Just to make it clear, you believe that Putin ordered all those murders just because they were speaking against him. And other than that, you've got not one more proof whatsoever? And you believe a judge would convict a person based on that?

Thanks for a good laugh and for showing me that my initial opinion of you was correct.

China Just Sided With Russia Over The Ukraine Conflict

So did you read the original article that your source used, because you should have as you would have seen this...

China has also been cautious not to be drawn into the struggle between Russia and the West over Ukraine's future, not wanting to alienate a key ally.

It has said it would like to continue to develop "friendly cooperation" with Ukraine, and respects the ex-Soviet state's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

www.reuters.com...

Seems your source decided to cherry pick the original stories for quotes that they could misrepresent as some type of truth...and you bit.

China will keep backing Russia with whatever it needs, because it needs Russia to stay in one piece for its own survival...

Interesting because Russia isn't one of the top traders with Russia...

Rank Country Total trade
1 United States 521
2 Hong Kong 401
3 Japan 312.55
4 South Korea 274.24
5 Taiwan 197.28
6 Germany 161.56
7 Australia 136.37
8 Malaysia 106.07
9 Brazil 90.27

Seems they will fair okay if things go south for Russia...

Well when you fear losing what you have that makes it pretty good odds.

You have to remember there is a presidential vote in 2016...is Putin scared he might lose, because that makes people do the craziest things.

Just an example...In Georgia there was a county Sheriff coming up for re election and his competition was obviously going to get the vote...so he has him murdered.

Where upon later after being convicted of the murder did he confess the reason he had him killed.

Fleming said Dorsey told her he ordered the hit originally because he was upset about losing the election,

www.wsbtv.com...

Sorry it is a bit off topic, but I just want to show when your scared of possibly losing something you may do unorthodox things to keep it.
