I do boycott these things.
And no it's not his fault. Capitalism is the cause.
There's enough food, water, money for every single person on the planet, but instead of helping our fellow humans we pay some pretty boy millions to kick a ball or drive a car round a circuit.

Trying to justify this insanity by saying they develop better cars for us in the long run.
That's so cute.

I'm well aware of the technology used in F1. Nice assumption though.
I'm just an empathetic person who thinks it's important to help people in need.
Nobody needs 52 million a year ffs.
My mind will never change, no matter how many hybrid engines they develop

It is not about "deserving" or needing anything. You make what your labor is worth on the free market. Period. Many of these people give away an immense amount of money to a variety of causes. How do you think Universities, museums, arts, and other non-profits get most of their funding? From rich people who have been widly successful and give money away to causes they feel are important without the coercion of government.

Maybe you could explain how F1 engines are using waste heat to generate electricity since you're such an expert?

The thread is about a driver getting paid a ludicrous amount of money. Not an in depth discussion about F1 technology.
If you clutch those straws any harder, they are going to snap

They give far and above any amount required for a tax break.

Hats off to the guy I say!
Can any of you seriously say if some one put a contract in front of you offering £1,000,000 a week to drive a Formula One car around a race track and wear a overall covered in sponsor logos, you wouldn't sign it?
