I think about the Axis nationalists, Nazis and Japanese, both worshiped their rulers and would commit suicide in defense of those idea forms that Hitler and Emperor Hirohito held. These were huge armies that were ultimately defeated. You would think ISIS is just a few well organized flies crawling around on a pile of camel dung by comparison (should be easy enough to spray with the insecticide "RAID").

United States troops destroyed a lot more than this in Iraq, Vietnam, and many other places around the world as they went through.

This is just too much, awful, tragic (the burning of the Alexandria Library/and Maya pictograph writings, only 4 codexes exist). The Middle Easts historic past is being decimated. How is this allowed to happen? This geographic area is the birthplace of civilization; precious, irreplaceable.
