They are so cute!

I'm guessing your not in MI, otherwise I would take one off your hands.
If the dad was a rottie, they are going to be interesting looking dogs!

Your amazing for taking her in!

Final tally was 9 pups!

Unfortunately, one of them didn't make it. Possibly because it took so long to be born, but we could not revive it.

So she has 8 babies, alive and kicking (fussing up a storm right now and feeding). SA is curled up with them and is exhausted.

Hmmmm, are they all as black and tan as the ones in your pics?

We had a black and tan with a decent mix of rottie and shepard and something water related in him (toes were webbed and swam like a fish). We've also been thinking our son would love to have a dog around. Not sure if a rottie/fox hound would work well with our smaller yard and urban area though.

Congratulations! They are so cute at the "guinea pig" stage... Rotties are wonderful dogs! I hope you find great homes for them all.

Tired Momma dog, but quite happy I'm sure with all her little ones.

It must be adorable seeing all those sweet little pups. I wish them all happy loving homes in the future and a world of joy!

Update:

The pups are a week old now, fattening up quite nicely. Momma is doing well (a LOT thinner), though she really wants to move them, but where they are is the best place for now. They should be starting to open up their eyes soon, and learning to walk (they're pretty mobile as it is!).

Taken today:

Look at that happy momma!

Aww they are so cute and precious.

Any thoughts on keeping one or two?

Thoughts, yes.

These are going to be big dogs. I already have 3 medium to large dogs, I might swing a 4th, but I'll have to make their run area much bigger. The pen is to keep them safe (so they don't leave the property and end up on someone else's land, getting shot or taken away) while outside. We bring them in every night (or keep them in if the weather is bad).

Update on the pups:

Their eyes are opening up and they're starting to get a bit curious about the world, becoming more mobile.

This pup is telling our cat Whinny "I will own you in a few weeks!"

Mom is doing great, gets a bit restless and I have to take her out for walks. This is what happens after you feed a lot: you pass out!
