Imagine how intresting the moon would look if it turned around

I hope that some day NASA or ESA could show us a detailed photography or video of the dark side of the Moon.

Amateurs take pictures of the dark side of the Moon every month. Here's one:

that's not entirely true. taking a picture of a dark moon can always happen, what people cannot do is take a picture of the far side of the moon, since the same side always faces the earth.

what you see in that picture is the same side that you see when it is a full moon

Df1 clearly stipulated the "dark" side of the moon, and not the "far" side, thus my statement is entirely true.
The point was to highlight the difference in a way that is illustrative, and not pedantic.

This one doesn`t look like a crater......
I`ve no idea what this is on the Moon ?

Your image looks a little too pixelated to be sure, but I think that looks similar to this "object" that was discussed a thread last year (Link to Thread).

As mentioned in that other thread, that particular object was almost certainly an image artifact possibly caused by a dust speck either on the camera or on the scanning equipment used to digitize the original image. I say this because that speck was in every image taken by that camera, and in the exact same part of the frame in every image -- even in images that were not of the Moon (e.g., it still showed up on blurred images that showed nothing).

You know to me it looks super square, since the back edge is smaller and further away. Looking birds eye view strait down on it could be dead sqaure or rectangular.

Awesome camera

Dark Side of the Moon is an unfortunately named Pink Floyd album.

There is NO dark side of the moon. Both the side which faces us and the lunar far side receive sunlight.

As for the lunar FAR side, NASA has taken detailed images of it for year. Perhaps you've been unaware of this:

target.lroc.asu.edu...

And for more on the NASA mission which took those images:

lunar.gsfc.nasa.gov...

That's the whole point. The poster above was having a bit of fun with the person who said "dark side of the moon" not far side of the moon which they should have said and which is what you mean.

When I said "Dark Side of The Moon", it was a metaphore, please don't be so serious...

Thanks for the information

I replied to you and referenced an old thread.

Here are a couple of old posts of mine from two previous threads about "objects" similar to the ones in your post:

Yeah. I`ve checked out the photos you`ve posted and you could be right about those images.
If you check the original photo ( the one i posted in the second lot )... i think you may agree that these are pretty big anomalies, especially the one at the top.
Saying that though, I`m no expert on photo anomalies.
