Goodness comes from God and Goodness as well as evil is on Earth. God is full of Love and Compassion .
Maybe the devil is happy to "observe" our lives like a TV Show but God understands how people suffer and wish for them to choose LIGHT for freedom from evil.
That's one of the teachings in the prayer of Elyon The Merciful Father in Heaven:
"Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from EVIL, for yours is The Kingdom , The Power, and The Glory, Forever and ever, Amen."
People tend to seek consistency in their beliefs and perceptions. So what happens when one of our beliefs conflicts with another previously held belief? The term cognitive dissonance is used to describe the feelings of discomfort that result from holding two conflicting beliefs. When there is a discrepancy between beliefs and behaviors, something must change in order to eliminate or reduce the dissonance.
Now imagine for a moment that you are dealing with a person who is racist, sexist or otherwise discriminatory. If you choose to discuss their bias, they are more than likely going to present their "proof" to you which supports their beliefs. If you challenge this, perhaps by asking them to clarify their point in opposition to fact, you will very likely encounter abrasiveness. This is cognitive dissonance and the human ego at play.
