I guess we see things differently. A friend of mine who I grew up with in Atlanta recently moved back to the south after living in Tuscon Arizona for
the last 8 years. I spoke with him about a month back and first thing he said was "I hated the south growing up but when I moved back I started to
notice the things I took for granted like people holding doors for each other and saying thank you" .
Some people are miserable here for sure but I think the poverty currently has much to do with it and they need someone to blame and are jealous of
others success ,but I was referring to the past when people were in smaller communities and were more self sufficient. Slower pace of life less stress
etc.
