Sounds to me like the DHS pretty much hit the nail on the head and I'm glad they're monitoring these nut jobs closely.

They were good enough to win the Presidency and start ruining this country so I would say they are causing a huge insurrection right now.

DHS is a major part of that right now. They are the ones that are buying enough ammo for a war against the American people.

Strange, how quickly people seem to forget that, until September 11, 2001, the deadliest terrorist attack against Americans on American soil was done by home grown right wing extremist pair of Gulf War Veterans, McVeigh and Nichols. These two home grown all-American white bread terrorists killed over 150 people, including pre-school kids. So let's not act like the threat from right wing extremists is completely imaginary.

And unlike a lot of people, I do not see militias or their like as heroic, or even desirable allies. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" mentality is how dictatorships are set up and atrocities tolerated or accepted. Yeah, I totally despise and distrust the federal government for a number of reasons. You know who else despises the federal government? KKK,Nazis, White Supremacists, Black Supremacists, the Black Panther Party, The Nation of Islam, The Communists, the Socialists, Extremist Christians, Extremists Muslims, ISIS, ect. Yet I would never consider any of them friends, and many of them, I hate far more than the feds. And in my personal experience, most (not all, but most) militia members consist of little more than overweight rednecks who read one Soldier of Fortune magazine too many. Or the hold such far out, revolting views that they scare you more than the idea of the NWO. If the SHTF and all hell breaks loose, they would be amongst the last people I would ever join with if I wanted to survive. The one's I have met are seriously clueless, and in reality, the feds, were they ever to declare open warfare on the us public, would crush the majority of them quicker than they could Al Qaeda.

Though I really do not trust anything the DHS normally says, in this, it is not like they are completely unfounded. We have far-right members of government behaving in a manner that borders on treason, and I've seen on a number of far-right blogs and message boards anonymous comments promoting or threatening violence against members of the government or other groups. And right-wing extremists tend to act up and plot some nasty shiz way more when there is a left-wing administration in power. Remember the 90's, the Clinton Era, the Republican assault on the Clinton White House, and the rise of far-right militia incidents, attacks, and the overkill response from the Feds?

We are simply seeing a repeat of the 90's. I'm still waiting for the Republicans to dig up a sex scandal on Obama, and waste millions in trying to impeach him for the same pastimes every prez before him engaged in. But they still are chasing their tails with this birther and Benghazi non-sense. Politics as usual, as nauseum.

What we are experiencing is the 1990's, part two. Hopefully this time, without Green Day and Limp Bizkit.

Btw folks. If you think we're a threat. You have only yourselves to blame. And in fact, the State Dept. just gave you the solution. If you haven't changed us by now, it must just be that you're all a bunch of slackers and ineffective communicators. Either that or you suck and educating or maybe you just haven't partnered or engaged with or supported your neighborhood righties enough lately.

The report was produced by staff members during the Bush administration but wasn't published until then Homeland Security Janet Napolitano had taken office. Napolitano criticized her own agency for the report.

That were also helped by Iraqi intelligence as payback for the first Gulf war. Even Mcvay said that is why he did it. Many witnesses seen Iraqis in the area helping them before the bombing. There is rock solid evidence of it and several books were wrote about it but Janet Reno wanted to blame the American Militias so she could go after them and make herself look good. Ruby Ridge and Wako ring a bell?

What I read on a daily basis...

In terms of threats/calls to overthrow the government, and almost daring officers to try and test them with their repertoire of Guns at the ready...
I can't say I've heard that from the Left...

Maybe that will change if the Reps take over next year...
& if that does happen and the Reps decide to say the most vocal and therefore most current threat is the Left Wing Nuts...

I'll say the same thing...


I wonder if the right wingers complaining here will defend those Left Wing Nuts as they're defending themselves now...

Even though they are the first to go out and help their communities in missing children or disaster situations. They are also the reason why the Government was forced to stand down when they tried to force that Bundy guy off his land and were slaughtering his cows. They stand up for everyday Americans who can not defend themselves against a tyrannical Government. They do not, in no way shape or form pull any terrorist type attacks. The first mention of any member in any militia group thinking about it will get them drug to the authorities by the militia themselves turned in.

They are Patriots but nothing like the government wants you to believe. They are everyday Americans who train to do a bunch of different things to HELP the communities around them should the crap hit the fan. One of them is if the U.S. is invaded and they will be needed. When our government likes to ship our Nation Guard off overseas they are the only Guard we have cause God knows the police cant do it by themselves.

Let me tell you something brother! There are MANY Democrats who will not give up their guns either!

As your country is in suffering due to political division, so is mine! But ask yourself this? "Who is suffering more? The people being divided, or the government creating the division?".

Prove me wrong, and I will submit and apologize. But I am tired of seeing politicians playing these types of games, and low and behold, here we are on ATS, not discussing right versus wrong, but discussing why one political party is more dangerous than the other!

Who suffers? Those of us who think our opinions matter to our government officials, or the government officials?
