Los Angeles passenger onboard Alaska Airlines flight to Portland stung by scorpion

Could have been worse.

Hitched a ride as other insects or maybe was previously in a container. Depends on what species it is to help determine how it got there. The NW has the Vejovis boreus (Girard) or Northern Scorpion for example. List of scorpions by state.

Thanks, that was a handy reference.
I'm pretty sure it was the centruroides vittatus that got me.
It got me in the upper/inner thigh.
Felt like a lit cigar being held to my skin for a good half hour.
I got sweaty chills and my saliva got thick and foamy.
I would prefer to not experience it again.
